The evening path of NEOWISE for July

13/07/2020 @ 11:00 pm – 14/07/2020 @ 1:00 am Europe/London Timezone

Comet 2020 F3 (NEOWISE) can be seen in Northern skies this month! It can be seen pre-dawn at the start of the month BUT by the 13th will be visible in the evening sky!

You should be able to spot it with the naked eye, as with normal celestial objects a better view can be had away from light pollution. Binoculars or a camera will allow a much more detailed view of the tail, which may be difficult to see with just the eyes! The comet will start to dim as the month progresses.

NEOWISE is quite low in the sky to the North, you may need to find a location where you can see the horizon.

We have put together a handy chart, to show the path of the Comet in the evening sky over the course of July. This is based on it’s position at 23:30 each night.  Please note, we also have a chart HERE for morning viewing as the location is slightly different.

Important – The chart is a rough guide for visual observations only

Don’t forget to become a FREE member of the site and upload your images of NEOWISE, we would love to see them!

You can also join our Facebook Group for a chat and don’t forget we give reminders for lot’s of interesting things you can see in the sky on our Facebook Page – give us a like!
