Mars close to The Moon – 23rd

23/08/2018 @ 8:30 pm – 24/08/2018 @ 1:30 am Europe/London Timezone

The pair can be seen from dusk in the South East from around 20:30 and travel across to the South South/East, where they set at around 01.30am. The closest approach is at 18:13 on the 23rd however the pair won’t be visible due to daylight. Look before 23:30 and you can see Saturn to the right! A stunning sight!

The image shows their location on the 2rd at 22.30 (image is from Stellarium, a fantastic piece of free software)
