Jupiter close to The Moon – 17th

17/08/2018 @ 8:45 pm – 10:00 pm Europe/London Timezone

Jupiter can be seen close to the Moon on the evening of the 17th!  The pair can be seen from dusk in the south west, be quick though as they can’t be seen for long. They set at around 22:00. The closest approach is at 11.39am but the pair won’t be visible due to daylight.

The image shows their location on the 17th at 21.00 (image is from Stellarium, a fantastic piece of free software)
