46P/Wirtanen reaches its brightest (visible to the naked eye)

16/12/2018 @ 5:00 pm – 17/12/2018 @ 5:30 am Europe/London Timezone

The comet can be seen from dusk, all night until dawn the next morning. It will be high in the sky making it an easy target. You don’t need to wait for it to reach it’s brightest, it is still very bright all of December! It’s an easy one to find as it lies very close to Pleiades. It’s rare we get a comet as bright as this, you will be able to see it with your naked eye (as long as there isn’t too much light pollution)

A great finder chart located HERE

The image shows the location of the Comet on the 16th at 21:09
